Their phone, your phone, and the time each one last reported.
A phone tracker for the phones whose owners said yes.
Every phone on this map joined because somebody tapped yes on it. An old Android, a new iPhone, a browser tab on a laptop — one circle, one list, and beside each name the time that phone last reported.

Two searches, one phrase
Whose phone is missing?
Both questions arrive here, and they do not have the same answer. The half we cannot help with comes first, because sending you to the right tool costs us nothing and guessing wastes your afternoon.
It is my own phone
Find My and Find Hub, not this
A phone that never joined a circle is out of reach here, and that includes yours. Those two are built into the device: they can ring it, lock it and erase it, which no phone tracker app from a third party can do to your own hardware. If your phone was already in a circle, everyone else in that circle can still see where it last reported — often the only thing you actually needed.
Use the tool already on the phone. Come back when the phone you are worried about belongs to somebody else.
It is a phone in my family
That is what this is for
A phone location tracker only makes sense inside a group that agreed to be one, so everybody joins by invitation — usually through the phone number tracker — and then appears on the same map: a position while the app runs, the age of every reading, Arrival alerts, Check in, Low battery alerts. The person you are looking for can see that you can see them, and can pause whenever they like.
One circle, one list, and a switch on every row — yours included.
The half this app answers
What changes between an Android, an iPhone and a browser tab
Households rarely run one brand. A phone tracker for Android, an iPhone phone tracker and a laptop with no app at all join the same circle; what differs is what happens while nobody is looking at the screen.
| Platform | Reports in the background | What it needs | Where it stops |
|---|---|---|---|
| Android | Yes, while sharing is on | The app installed, location permission granted, and battery optimisation switched off for it | Off or out of signal: it stops, and the row keeps the hour it last heard |
| iPhone | Yes, while sharing is on | The app installed and location permission left on | The same, and the row says Quiet since rather than guessing |
| Browser tab | No — only while the tab is open | Nothing installed: the invite link, and a tab left open | Closing the tab reads exactly like a switched-off phone |
Once the phones are on one map
Three things a phone tracker app should be able to prove
Every row admits its age
A gps phone tracker is only as honest as its worst moment. Updated 4m ago. Quiet since 3:12 PM. Paused sharing. Never a dot nudged closer to where you were hoping. The location tracker page walks through each of those states.
Nobody watches one way
There is no mode that lifts one person off the map while leaving them able to watch the rest, and no exception for whoever created the circle. That is the line a parent phone tracker app should not cross, and the reason a teenager here can name everyone who can see them.
Leaving takes two taps
Anyone can pause, or leave the circle, from their own phone without asking, and their history goes with them. Three checks that take ten minutes will tell you whether any app in this category can say the same.

Can I find a phone that never joined the circle?
No. Every phone on the map accepted an invitation on the phone itself, and there is no way to add a device without the person holding it agreeing.
My own phone is lost. Does this help?
Partly. If it was already sharing with your circle, everyone in the circle can see where it last reported, which usually answers the question. For ringing, locking or erasing your own device, Find My and Find Hub do more than we ever will.
Is there a separate app for each platform?
No, it is one app and one circle. Install the phone tracker app for Android or the phone tracker app for iPhone and you land in the same list, and the best phone tracker app for a household is simply the one every member of it can get into — including the relative who opens a browser instead.
Does it drain the battery?
Background location costs something on every platform. The app reports at intervals rather than continuously, and when somebody gets low the circle is told, because a dead battery is the usual reason a dot stops moving.
What happens when a phone goes offline?
After three quiet hours the row says Quiet since, with the time it was last seen, and stops there. Nothing is estimated and no position is invented to fill the gap.
Can my teenager tell when I look?
They can see that you are in the circle and that you can see them, which is the part that matters. The app does not send a notice each time somebody opens the map — no app in this category does, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
