How to track location by phone number, the way it actually works
The honest version of a cell phone tracker by phone number is an invitation, not a search. The number is an address for a text; the location comes later, from a phone whose owner said yes. The family tracker app does it in three steps, and two of them happen on their phone.

Questions about numbers and invitations
Can this phone number tracker find any number I enter?
No. The number only sends an invitation. Until the person accepts, there is nothing to see, and if they decline you are told nothing at all about them.
What does the other person see when I add them?
A text that says you added them to your family map, then a screen with your name, the name of the circle, and one line saying that joining means the circle sees their location while they share it, and they see everyone else's. Then a Join circle button, or Not now.
Do I need their number, or is there another way?
A number is one of four ways. You can also send the link through any chat app, copy the invite link, or show a QR code across the table. All of them end at the same place, which is the other person agreeing.
Can they leave later?
Yes, at any time, without asking anyone. They can also pause sharing and stay in the circle, which shows a Paused sharing label rather than a position.
Does it work if their phone is a different brand from mine?
Yes. The phone number tracker works the same on Android, iPhone and in the browser, and all three join the same circle.
